Well, file this under “DUH!”
I’m not normally one for these memes, quizzes, etc. on my blog, but…

And really, was there ever any doubt?

I think i find this grid thingy horribly flawed. If it’s going to assume things about me because i socialize with men and women (and people who don’t fit the binary but let’s not get too uppity here) and because i don’t really give a crap about labels (i mean, yay whee, gold star lesbian, and note how little i care) or the sexual orientations of the people i talk to, it claims me to be emotionally heterosexual or something?
Plus, S, we don’t need a test to know you’re so gay you’ve blacked out your entire car’s back window with a rainbow sticker. Heh heh heh. No, seriously, have you looked into buying a Subaru?

You did notice the copyright date on the grid thing was 1978, yeah? People were barely even considering the “B” in “LGBT,” much less the “T.” It was meant to be an improvement on the mono-numerical Kinsey Scale, as which is does succeed admirably, but one could easily imagine a much more thorough modeling after another 31 years to ponder the interactions between sex, gender, and attraction. To someone like us, the Klein Grid seems as quaint as the Kinsey Scale was to Klein, but to a lot of people, the notion that your sexual orientation could a) be multi-faceted, and b) change over time, is still a revolutionary notion outside of bubbles like SF, SEA, NYC, etc.
So, I think you’re missing the point…it’s, if anything, not about labeling, but about challenging labels. It’s a preliminary step in making people think of their sexual identity as more than just “gay” or “straight.” VERY preliminary, but the intent is pretty durn good for 3 decades ago, IMHO.
As for the Subaru, no way in hell! My li’l 2000 Honda Insight is the best commuter car ever made! My geek ID utterly trumps my dyke ID when it comes to considering any purchase of a technological nature that isn’t specifically intended for use in the boudoir…

The Klein Grid isn’t intended to be a one stop shopping for orientation. In fact the assumption is that each time you fill one out all three facets should look at least slightly different each time. The intention was to create a more fluid way of understanding an individuals mindset at any given moment without insisting that “feeling like a 7″ has any long term value which was one of the flaws of the initial Kinsey scale. There are about a billion different variations on this theme but really its just a tool for your individual label du jour and/or for looking at how your intent matches your current/past behavior.
